Detailed Itinerary of 10 Days Uganda and Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Pick up and drive to Serengeti National Park
You will be picked up by your guide who will welcome you and brief you about your safari. After briefing, you will continue your drive to Serengeti national park where you will have an en route game drive on the way to your lodge where you will have your lunch.
After lunch you will have an afternoon game drive where you will see different wildlife species such as elephants, zebras, warthogs, antelopes, buffalos, lions and others. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge
Day 2 and day 3: full day in Serengeti national park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of your full day exploring the plains of Serengeti national park. During your game drives, you will see numerous wildlife species such as the wildebeest, lions, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, impalas, kobs, giraffes, leopards as well as a variety of bird species.
You will return to your lodge for lunch after your morning game drive. After lunch, you will have another game drive in the savannah plains of Serengeti national park in search of wildlife species. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge
Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area Drive
After breakfast at your lodge, you will continue your drive to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will enjoy more wildlife viewing experiences as well as beautiful views. You will have your lunch before descending into the crater.
You will descend into the Ngorongoro crater and you will see Lake Magadi which is located in the crater and is known for having amazing wildlife viewing and also for its beautiful views and scenery. Wildlife species which can be seen around the Ngorongoro crater include elephants, wildebeest, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, hartebeests, waterbucks, antelopes, giraffes and many others.
You will return to your lodge after your game viewing experience and you will have your dinner and to spend the night at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Day 5: Walking Safari, Transfer to Arusha
Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, and then head out for a walking safari at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Get to come up close with nature, following animal trucks and appreciating the nature and scenery. Thereafter, proceed for a transfer to Arusha. Check in at the hotel, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge.
Day 6: Fly to Entebbe and Transfer to Kibale National Park
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive you to the airport for your flight to Entebbe international airport. You will be picked up from the airport upon arrival and your guide will welcome you and drive you to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight at Chimpundu Lodge
Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking
Wake up to breakfast at the lodge, and then head out for a chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale National Park. You shall be briefed about the activity, and then proceed to search for chimpanzees in the natural habitat. Spend one hour with the chimpanzees, and then track back for your chimpanzee tracking certificates. Return to the lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Chimpundu Lodge.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi national park in the south western part of Uganda. You will continue your drive to Bwindi national park where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Buhoma Lodge.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking and optional Batwa community tour
After breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi national park, you will proceed for your gorilla trekking activity in the impenetrable forest which is home to the gorillas. You will spend about 1 hour with the gorillas after trekking through the forest in search of the gorillas. You will also enjoy taking photos of the gorillas and you will later return to the briefing point where you will meet your guide and be driven back to your lodge.
You will have an optional community tour to interact with the Batwa community and get to know about their ways of life and their cultures. Dinner and overnight will be at Buhoma Lodge.
Day 10: Departure
Have a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, and then proceed for a transfer back to Entebbe, and be dropped off at your hotel of stay or at the airport, bringing your safari to an end.
